The kindergarten and first graders had a wonderful surprise last week. The third grade came by to read a nonfiction book they have been writing. It was so sweet to see the older students being so caring towards the younger. The little ones really enjoyed the small group attention.
The 2nd grade has been learning about the Creek and Cherokee Native Americans. They have researched using books, websites, and gotten information from a Nearpod presentation. The also used the MyStory app to write and gather pictures telling about facts they have learned. 2nd grade you are super workers!
The kindergarten has been learning about community helpers. We have read some nonfiction books telling us about police officers, firefighters, teachers, and many more. The students are also exploring what tools each person needs in order to work at their job. I must say that they did a wonderful job informing me that the librarian needs books! :)
